PROMOTION from the Seniors Inter-County Leagues Division 3 remains on the cards for Oxfordshire Ladies Over 50s following a slender win over Devon at Torquay.
Both Oxfordshire pairs beat the Devon No 1s, but lost championship tie-breaks to the second couple.
The crucial contest saw Ana Coggon and Liz Gilkes win in straight sets as Oxon edged the tie 6-5 on sets, with the rubbers even.
It means a victory in the final match against Berkshire will move Oxfordshire into Division 2.
