Iain Major, twice, and Chris Iagoe put the B side 3-1 up and on course for victory.
But Adam Ingram, who scored 5,890, and Dennis Atkins (5,200) hit back to clinch a draw.
Bletchingdon Club started their season in style with a 5-1 home win over Gladiators Club A.
Pete Soanes (8,350) led the way with victory in the opening leg, while Bob Pincombe (7,910) picked up the consolation point for Gladiators.
Hosts Vikings shared the spoils with West Oxford Democrats Club 3-3.
Mike Jones was the player of the night with scores of 10,220 and 10,260 (break 9,600).
Eddie Tebby starred for Democrats, winning both his games with scores of 4,120 and 7,480.
Bob Allsworth (4,060) won Vikings’ third point, with Terry Green (3,990) taking the other point for the Democrats.
