Horspath's young side battled hard before losing 94-86 in their South & South Wales League clash away to old rivals Southampton.
The visitors Horspath got off to a strong start, with Zac Payne and Jack Currel securing a 6-4 win the opening heat.
The first part of the tie was fiercely-contested with South-ampton leading 46-44 at half-time.
Heats 10 and 11 were shared, with the home side picking up another 6-4 in heat 12.
Horspath bagged 6-4s in heats 13 and 14 from Payne and Currel, and Jordan Rich-ardson and Owen Johnson respectively.
But the home side finished with two 6-4s and a final 7-3.

The Division 2 match saw Horspath’s Emille Garth, Currel, Josh Ramshaw and Owen Johnson double up while Nathan Loveridge added fresh energy.
Despite picking up successive 6-4s, Hammers lost 44-36.
