STEVE Naylor signed off with his ninth successive victory in the Mota-vation series with a convincing display in the third round at Combe.
The 2011 champion from Cassington, running for Bedford & County, crossed the line in 19mins 35 secs in his last race before moving away from the area.
Naylor kicked on the first descent and stayed clear for the rest of the 3.9-mile course.
Oxford City’s Darrell Bellinger, winner of the second round last month, was next man home (20.04).
He was 22 seconds ahead of David Bruce, who lives in Oxford.
It gives Bellinger a one-point lead in the overall standings over Bruce with two races remaining.
Diane Moore continued her domination in the ladies’ competition by completing her hat-trick.
The Headington Road Runner finished 23rd overall in 22.07, which was just outside the course record set by Oxford City’s Melissa Hawtin last year.
Sophie Carter, from Woodstock, was second (22.57), with Abingdon AC’s under 19 athlete Fiona Bunn third in 23.56.
Woodstock’s James Bolton was fourth (20.33) to take a closely-fought vet 40 competition, coming home just nine seconds ahead of Abingdon’s Paul Fernandez.
Matthieu Marshall (Oxford City) was the fastest under 19 runner, coming 15th in 21.46.
The series returns to Combe for the penultimate round on Thursday, August 7.
