City of Oxford’s aspiring young competitor Libby Gotta enjoyed a successful time in her first British National Deaf Championships at Loughborough University.

The nine-year-old raced in the 11 and under age group, and despite swimming in a 50m pool for the first time, brought home four medals.

Gold came in the 50m breaststroke in a time of 56.06secs, while she added silvers in the 50m butterfly (51.57) and 50m backstroke (48.95) plus a bronze in the 50m freestyle (40.44).
