OXFORD United’s Johnny Mullins is due to find out how long he faces on the sidelines when he visits a specialist today.
The 28-year-old went for a scan on the ankle he injured in Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Chesterfield.
He left the ground on crutches and caretaker boss Mickey Lewis’s initial assessment was the defender had no chance of being available for Friday’s home clash against Hartlepool.
One player definitely out is Tom Newey, who begins a three-game ban for his red card last weekend.
Jon Meades is an option to replace the left back. The 22-year-old played for the development squad yesterday in a goalless draw at Reading.
* THE Oxfordshire Senior Cup semi-final between Oxford United and Kidlington will be played on Tuesday, April 8.
An absence of neutral venues on the date means the tie will be hosted at Kidlington’s Yarnton Road ground.
