Oxfordshire teenager Miles Hammond picked up 2-28 as England Under 19s thrashed Scotland by 153 runs in their opening ICC World Cup warm-up game at the ICC Academy, Dubai.
The 18-year-old Gloucestershire off-spinner’s figures yesterday came off 7.4 overs as Scotland were skittled for 128 in reply to England’s 281-4 from 50 overs.
Hammond, who lives in Oxford, will be hoping to impress again when England face Bangladesh in their final warm-up game tomorrow, before the first Group D match against the United Arab Emirates on Friday.
