Local angling has lost one its most successful specimen hunters with the death of Dennis Fogden at the age of 78.
Dennis featured regularly in these pages, usually with pictures of huge pike and chub caught from the Thames.
He worked as gardener at the Trout Inn, Wolvercote, for more than 50 years and fished the stretch near there most successfully.
