Banbury United manager Edwin Stein says he will have no hesitation in making changes to his side’s defence, if they continue to leak goals.

Although tenth in the Calor League Premier Division, Stein says defensive blunders are costing his side dear.

“We have scored in every game this season, but we have yet to keep a clean sheet,” said Stein.

“And we are having to score three or four goals to win games.

“And I’ve got to look at my back four. They keep making errors and it’s causing panic through the rest of the team.

“We’e shooting ourselves in the foot in every game.

“Lessons are not being learned and I’m considering getting a new centre back and left back in.

“We’ve been porous at the back all season, despite speaking to the players concerned.

“I am worried that there doesn’t seem to be any improvement and it can’t continue.

“The game at Bashley is the last-chance saloon for some of them.”

Stein says although Bashley are struggling, they cannot be taken lightly.

“They are in the lower reaches, but so were Truro and we lost to them.”

Banbury give late tests to Luke Cray (knee) and Leon Simpson (calf).
