Chinnor head coach Matt Goode is confident his team can get back to winning ways when they host Bishop’s Stortford in National 2 South tomorrow.

After a flying start to the season which saw them win their opening four games, Chinnor have lost their last three.

But that, Goode says, is no cause for alarm and he is backing his side to come good against a side who have won just twice this season.

“There is absolutely no need for alarm,” he said. “In the last four seasons, I think we have only lost half-a-dozen games at home.

“We were beaten here by a very good Hartpury side a few weeks ago, but I would not expect us to lose too many more at home.

“We only won twice away last season so that’s something we need to improve, but the recent away defeats could easily have been wins ,so there is no panic.”

The Chinnor team is still undecided, but George Blewett, who was on the bench last week, could come in on the wing.

Liam Dwyer is ruled out of Henley’s home game with leaders Doncaster Knights.

Dwyer injured his ribs in last week’s win over Richmond and is replaced by Will Woodward.

Doncaster, the only full-time professional team in the league, have won seven out of seven this season.

Oxford Harlequins make some minor changes as they bid to maintain their 100 per cent record at Buckingham in South West 1 East.

Pete Boulton is unavailable, while Ben Selby is back from suspension. Olly Barlow comes into the front row.

Head of rugby Steve Chadbone is looking for his side to produce an 80-minute performance.

“We have scored the most points in the league and conceded the least so it’s going well,” he said.

“But we shipped 25 points last week because we went to sleep for a period so are looking to put that right.

“The weather on Tuesday night at training was horrific, but it was one of our best sessions of the season so hopefully that bodes well.”

Grove manager Phil Rennie believes his side are getting better with every game.

Despite missing Roger and Nick Sevier for the home match with Swindon, Rennie is hopeful of further improvement.

“We are growing with every game and building momentum,” he said.

“It was a great win against Witney last week with a good turn-out and we would love to keep our good form going.”

Witney entertain high-flying Swindon, with captain Jez Hicks back in the side after recovering from a thumb injury.
