Tower Hill Ladies’ skipper Leanne Walker played through the pain barrier as she helped her side to a 4-2 home win against Chesham Ladies in the Southern Counties Northern Division 1.
Walker suffered an arm injury 20 minutes from time following a goal-saving sliding tackle, but it wasn’t until after the game that she realised she had broken it.
The hosts went ahead through Charley Hamilton, but the visitors levelled just before the break.
Tower were stunned early in the second half when Chesham took the lead. But Tower Hill regrouped and equalised when Emma Proctor headed home.
Hamilton then scored her second and Lisa Freeman wrapped it up with Tower Hill’s fourth goal.
