Dorchester went top of North Berks League Division 1 with a 4-2 home win over Crowmarsh Gifford.

Goals from Ollie Wright, Billy Warner, Josh Nicholls and Rob Hudson put them on their way with James Lee scoring twice for the opposition.

Previous leaders Ardington & Lockinge drew 4-4 with Berinsfield at home.

Chris Hogan, Luke Fairclough, Tom Rowe and Jamie Wilkins all scored for Ardington, but David Murphy with two, Luke Holdsworth and Chris Murphy matched them for the home side.

Andy Sutherland netted for Long Wittenham Athletic, but they went down 2-1 at Faringdon Town who won the match courtesy of goals from Garry Sutton and Robbie Harrington.

Wallingford Town also won, 2-1 at Wootton & Dry Sandford. Connor Mattimore and Ashley Searle scored for Wallingford, Ryan Dodds for Wootton. Saxton Rovers drew 1-1 at home to Harwell International.

Ryan Johnson’s strike for the hosts was cancelled out by Gareth Fenton’s for the away side.

Westminster went top of Division 3 after a 5-3 win at Blewbury.

Neil McMahon scored twice alongside efforts from Simon Joyce, Dean Staniford and Jason Hillis whilst Will Vaukins scored a hat-trick in vain for Blewbury.

Phil Goss (2) and a Dave Arscott strike gave Benson Lions a 3-0 home win over Dorchester Res in the division’s only other match.

A Charlie Jamieson two-timer and a John Welch goal earned Berinsfield Res a 3-1 win at Benson AFC in Division 4. Ian Abbott replied. East Hendred Res hammered Long Wittenham Athletic Res 4-0 away, with goals from Kevin Thimbleby, Ash Simmons, Sam Belcher and James Hicks. Faringdon Town A and Drayton Res drew 3-3 with two Jason Evans goals and a Stuart Finnigan strike for the home side cancelled out by a Gareth Small double and a Chris Milton effort for the visitors.

Goals from Tyrone Mayall and Gary Clements gave Stanford in the Vale Res a 2-1 successs at Grove Rangers Res that sees them close the gap to three points at the top of Division 5. Kenny Clements replied for Grove. Tommy Young netteda double hat-trick, whilst Luke Chambers and Dave Naylor both scored three goals of their own as Radley Res won 13-1 at home to Appleton Stars. Carl Goodenough completed the rout with Andy Alder netting the visitors’ sole reply.

Steventon Res won 2-1 at Didcot Eagles courtesy of a Mike Smith double with Gareth Cole scoring a penalty for Didcot.

Lee Absolom and Ben Higgins both scored twice for Crowmarsh Gifford Res in a 5-2 home victory over Hagbourne United Res.
