Thame United’s four-match winning streak in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division came to an abrupt halt with a 3-0 defeat by Ascot United at the ASM Stadium on Saturday.

A Leon Yarnie penalty on the half-hour mark gave the visitors the lead.

And Thame’s fate was sealed after the break by further strikes from Matt Jones and Rob Saunders.

Shrivenham went down 3-2 at Holyport.

Goals from Josh Fowler and David Coleman weren’t enough for the visitors as Jamie West (2) and Dan Sharp scored for the hosts.

Didcot Town Res slip to the bottom of Division 1 East after crashing to a 4-1 defeat at Finchampstead, who leapfrog them at the foot of the table.

Richard Kell scored in the first minute, and Jamekal Henderson made it 2-0 before half-time.

Ross McDonald reduced the deficit, but Ben Woozley and Sean Cahill struck to clinch victory for Finchampstead.

Bottom club Letcombe put up a spirited show, but were unable to stop Tytherington Rocks marching on at the top of Division 1 West as they went down 2-0 at home.

Joe White broke the deadlock just before half-time when he capitalised on keeper Danny Joyce’s poor clearance.

Letcombe gave the ball away in the second half, and Justin Bishop raced clear, before rounding Joyce to score from an acute angle.

Scott Campbell struck in each half to condemn North Leigh United to a 2-0 defeat at Purton.

Struggling Hook Norton let slip the lead in a 3-1 home defeat by New College Swindon.

Jason Tillcock put the hosts ahead in the eighth minute.

But Lee Toomey and Jack Payne hit back quickly for New College, before David Kinuthia wrapped up victory in the last minute.
