Ron Reddy made the only half-century break in the Gentworks Oxford & District League, but his Witney A team still went down 4-2 at Abingdon Conservative Club in Premier & Division 1.
Reddy’s break of 51 came in his second frame against Michael Bennett to make it 1-1.
Karl Walker produced a run of 40 as he put Abingdon in command by beating Wayne Reddy 72-14, 68-59.
Paul Chester, who lost his first frame 59-49 to Andy Toole, won the last to secure Abingdon's second win in two matches.
Warren Eeels had a break of 48, but still lost both frames against Richard Partlett as his Thame A side lost 5-1 at Eynsham A.
