Mike Ford has a selection dilemma ahead of what he describes as Oxford City’s ‘most important game of the season’ so far when they face fellow strugglers Worcester City in Skrill North at Marsh Lane tomorrow.
With a clean bill of health, City’s manager must decide whether to stick with the starting XI which pulled off a terrific 3-2 victory at Eastleigh in the FA Cup last Saturday to cap a run of three straight wins, or to make changes.
He has the choice up front of Marvin Robinson, who got City off to a flying start against Eastleigh with a goal after two minutes, before tiring early in the second half to be replaced by Mike Symons, who could face his former club.
In midfield, Liam Malone has recovered from tonsillitis, which ruled him out last week, and recent signing Chris Palmer, who was cup-tied, are also back in contention.
Ford said: “Saturday is the most important game of the season to date.
“It’s great to win games in the Cup and generate revenue for the club again, but now we are playing a team who are at the bottom of the table with us.
“I have real selections dilemmas, but whoever I pick should be good enough.”
