MAX Crocombe and Tyrone Marsh returned from injury as Oxford United’s development team shared a goalless draw away to Portsmouth.
The second-year professionals have been out with shoulder and ankle knocks respectively, but safely came through 90 minutes where chances were at a premium.
Callum O’Dowda and Josh Shama also lasted the whole game despite suffering from a virus earlier in the week.
U’s assistant manager Mickey Lewis said: “The stand-out performances for me came in the middle of the park, where I thought Josh Ruffels and Josh Ashby both gave very strong performances.
“Overall, it was an encouraging performance.”
Oxford Utd: Crocombe, Bevans, F Grant, Lee, Lynn, Hawtin, Ashby, Ruffels, O’Dowda, Shama, Marsh.
