MIDLANDS 2 WEST SOUTH

BANBURY Bulls climbed to fifth in the table after a 37-26 home victory over Dunlop.

Bulls are now just two points off leaders Earlsdon, whom they visit in two weeks’ time.

Dunlop remained in the match until two late tries from Alex Fogavini made the game safe.

The visitors took the lead with a try, but Banbury hit back with prolific wing Alex Gandy going over and Fogavini converting.

Flanker Seamus O’Dwyer raced in for try No 2 and a Fogavini penalty made it 15-5 to the hosts.

Dunlop equalised with a brace of tries, but Josh Deegan went over for Banbury and Fogavini converted for 22-15 at the break.

Two Dunlop penalties increased the home nerves before Nick Pratt forced his way over to make it 27-21.

Dunlop bagged a fourth try, but Fogavini’s brace sealed Banbury’s victory.
