A superb break of 76 by David Baker earned New Club A an exciting 3-3 draw away to Thame A in their Premier & Division 1 match of the Gentworks Oxford League season.
New Club had trailed 3-1 following a double success from the home side’s Jon Bishop over Simon Aries. But after edging past Warren Eels 61-54 in the fifth frame, Baker stormed to an 88-17 success in the last thanks to his big break.
Karl Walker produced breaks of 37 and 48 to win the final frame 89-18 against Altaf Ali 89-18 to help Abingdon Conservative Club A to win 5-1 away to Riley B.
