FINSTOCK 10K
SARAH Le Good led the way as Witney Road Runners enjoyed a successful trip to the multi-terrain event.
Le Good was the first lady home and helped Witney win the female team prize.
Banbury Harriers’ Simon Pritchard was the men’s winner, ahead of Tony Lock, who led Witney to the men’s team award, meaning they clinched three of the top four prizes on offer.
Le Good completed the hilly course around Cornbury Park in 47mins 3secs, finishing 18 seconds clear of Julia Morris (unattached).
Pritchard clocked 38.14 after pulling away from fellow vet 40 athlete Lock (38.34) in the closing stages.
Witney’s winning ladies’ team also featured Sarah’s mother Judith (54.45) and Sarah Morley (52.36).
For the men, Lock was backed up by Graham Ferris (40.51), Kevin Hennessy (41.16) and Nick Dalton (42.05).
Woodstock Harriers’ Kevin Game was third in 38.57, while the third lady home was Hook Norton Harriers’ Donna Allen in 48.29.
Alchester’s Jon Burgess was 14th and first vet 50 man home in 41.27, closely followed by vet 60 winner, Oxford City’s Roy Treadwell (42.06), who finished 16th.
Oxford’s Gwyneth Hueter was the fourth lady home in 49.26 and claimed the vet 55 prize.
Tania Rotherwick took the vet 45 honours in 50.28 ahead of fellow unattached runner Liz Mcveigh (50.41), who was the leading vet 35 lady.

CHRIS Dettmar (Headington Road Runners) finished 11th in the Ealing Half Marathon.
Dettmar’s time of 1hr 15mins 20secs was four minutes below his best, but still earned him second place in the vet 40 category.
White Horse Harriers’ Paul Jegou came 17th in Nottingham’s Robin Hood Marathon, clocking 2hrs 56mins 56secs.
