Oxford driver Benji Hetherington has signed up with Fortec Motorsports for the rest of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship season.
It comes after the 21-year-old and Ollie Hancock finished third for the team on their debut at Oulton Park last month.
Now Hetherington and Jason Minshaw will drive together in a Fortec-prepared Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 for the remainder of the campaign, beginning at Rockingham on Monday.
Team manager Trevor Foster said: “Following a very successful first outing at Oulton Park we are delighted to have signed Jason and Benji for the remainder of the 2013 British GT Championship.
“Jason and Benji will be paired together from Rockingham onwards, and we firmly believe that they will be a very competitive force based on their individual stints during the first event.
“We are very pleased with our early impressions of the Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 car and having an opportunity to complete a couple of dry days testing since Oulton Park means we are looking forward to improving our results at Rockingham.”
While Hetherington made the podium at Oulton, British GT debutant Minshaw was a victim in a three-car shunt at turn one of the first race, before finishing sixth in race two.
