The equation is simple for Henley Hawks tomorrow – beat Worthing at Dry Leas and they will be National 2 South champions.

Hawks trail leaders Worthing by two points, but any victory will see them at least match the Sussex side’s tally.

And should the teams finish level on 119 points, they would both have 24 wins, but Henley would be champions because of their superior points difference.

Hawks make one change from the side that won 32-8 at Shelford last week, with Josh McNally replacing James Winterbottom at lock.

Chinnor visit Shelford for head coach Jason Bowers’s final match at the helm, and having already guaranteed sixth place.

“It has been six and half of my most enjoyable years in the game,” Bowers said.

“It has been a huge privilege and pleasure to work at such a great rugby club.

“I’m very proud of everything we have done here and while I shall miss it greatly, I have so many fond memories and look forward to the next chapter in my life.”

He added: “Hopefully I shall be back in the future when my son plays – he had better choose rugby anyway!”

Chinnor add Alan Cawston, Matt Holyland and James Cathcart to last week’s squad.
