ABINGDON and Witney College have teamed up with local clubs to launch the Oxfordshire Rugby Academy.
The scheme links the college with Oxford Rugby League, Oxford Harlequins and Witney RFC, encouraging students to keep playing rugby.
No matter what course they are studying, 16-18-year-old students can opt to be part of the academy where they will receive coaching and the chance to play.
“This is a great opportunity for students who love their rugby – whether it’s union or league – to get specialist training and play matches in a club environment,” said Abingdon and Witney College’s Jenny Craig.
