James Spruyt hit a hat-trick as Vale of White Horse Under 13s stormed to a 7-2 win over Cheltenham in the Meeson Trophy at Milton United.

George Carder bagged a brace, with Jack Buchanan and Nick Chessman also netting. Chay Gambrell and Jerry Dorans replied.

OXFORD City Under 15s were handed a walkover by Mid Oxon in their Hobbs Cup semi-final – so now face Vale of White Horse in the final at Milton United on Tuesday (7pm).

KING Alfred’s Academy (Wantage) avenged their Oxfordshire Under 16 Cup final defeat by beating Fitzharrys (Abingdon) 3-2 in the Vale of White Horse final at Didcot Town.

Callum Stewart fired Fitzharrys ahead, but Jordi Davies made it 1-1 at half-time.

George Reid gave King Alfred’s the lead ten minutes from time, and Davies grabbed his second, before Robbie Cundy pulled one back with a penalty in the dying seconds.

MATTY Simms was the hero with three penalty saves as Oxford Academy beat Cherwell (Oxford) 3-2 in a spot-kick shoot-out in the Oxfordshire Under 12 Cup quarter-final.

Jamie McSporran, Twariq Yusuf and Heath Pitson converted their penalties to put Oxford through after the game had finished 2-2.

Cherwell had led twice, only to be pegged back by goals from Pitson and Cian Gaul.

DIDCOT Girls’ Schools will face Thomas Estley Community College (South Leicestershire) in the ESFA Girls Under 13 Schools’ Cup final at Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium on Monday, May 20 (10.30am).
