Oxfordshire's fight to avoid relegation from the Premier Division of the British Inter-Counties Championship continues this weekend when they entertain Surrey at Bicester Ex-Servicemen’s Club.

This is Oxfordshire’s game in hand, the match having been called off in January due to bad weather.

Oxon, who are in one of the two relegation positions, will be hoping to overtake eighth-placed Devon as they field a strong line-up.

Belinda Grant returns to the ladies A team.

Dean Lockyer moves up to the men’s A line-up, where there are two vacancies which will be filled after Saturday’s B team games.

Top players Jon Jukes and Stuart White are named in the men’s B team, while Dennis Smith is a reserve.

Oxon team manager Graham Manning said: “We had a great result from both women’s sides against Lancashire last month and we have selected one of the strongest men’s B teams ever.

“So if all goes to plan we hope to finish the weekend above Devon with all to play for against Glamorgan in the last game of the season.”

The matches will start 11am on both Saturday and Sunday.
