Ellis Langford scored a last-gasp equaliser as Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division runners-up Wantage Town fought back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Thame United on Saturday.

Although it was the last Saturday of the league programme, there are still a number of midweek games to be played.

It looked bleak for Andy Wallbridge’s team as they trailed to goals from Gavin Way, Conor Hayes and Matt Hall.

But a late double from Andrew Younie and Langford’s injury-time strike salvaged a point.

Ardley United were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Slimbridge.

Jon Gardner and Callum Convey were on target for Ardley, with Tom Cole and Marvin Roberts replying.

Kidlington won 3-0 away at Ascot United, thanks to a double from Tom Castle and a Ryan Curtin penalty.

Shrivenham crashed to a 4-0 defeat against Highmoor Ibis, for whom Steven Peacock (2), Ashley Isaacs and Michael Quennell were on target.

Tom Sheppard scored the winner as Henley Town broke their duck as they completed their Division 1 East campaign with a 1-0 win against Thatcham Town Res.

Ollie Zaja bagged a brace as Headington Amateurs sealed second place with a 3-2 win over Maidenhead United.

Tom Payne was their other markman with Ashley Watson and Tristan Jones replying.

Milton United drew 1-1 with Chalfont Wasps. Tom Parker put Milton ahead, but Jean-Pierre Jamil levelled. Easington Sports drew 1-1 with Woodley Town. Carl Standen netted for Easington, with Dan Faherty the scorer for Woodley.

Clanfield strolled to a 2-0 victory against Hook Norton in Division 1 West, thanks to goals from Craig Mays and Bradley Bryant.

North Leigh Res lost 4-2 against Lambourn Sports. Gareth Beale and Alfie Saunders found the net for North Leigh, with Callum Grifin (2), Damian Harris and Matt Hendren completing the hosts’ tally.

Goals from Jack Hamblin, Mark Denny and Adam Pendell were in vain as Letcombe slipped to a 4-3 defeat at home to Lydney Town. Declan Morley-Lyne (2), Adam Price and Matt Timmins did the damage for the visitors.
