Oxfordshire Girls League
MAGGIE Boyd took 3-6 as Shipton-under-Wychwood opened their Under 15 League campaign with a 26-run victory over Oxford Downs.
Shipton reached 92-3 thanks to Emily Day (27no) and Ella Gorton (25no), before Boyd helped restrict Downs to 64-6.
Debutants Westbury defeated Banbury by 49 runs in the Under 13 League, which is played in an eight-a-side pairs format.
Alice Wilson hit 16 in Westbury’s 173, before Chloe Helps took three wickets and Emily Cavender and Holly Killick two apiece as Banbury were dismissed for 124.
