Oxford City chairman Brian Cox says the club would have no qualms about switching to the Blue Square Bet South division.
With the number of northern teams coming down, Cox thinks a switch is inevitable.
Although City have racked up the miles, Cox said they had enjoyed the venture.
“I am happy about where we are and from my chats with Mike Ford I think he feels the same,” said Cox.
“But I think we will be placed in the South where my main concern would be getting stuck on the M25.
“We’ve only been stuck in traffic once this season and that was on the M6 when there was a lorry fire on the way to Chester.
“We rang the league to explain what was happening, but they still gave us the maximum fine for arriving late.”
