FOLLOWING on from the decision to clear up Chris Wilder’s future as manager, the next big decision is on Oxford United’s players.

The majority of the first-team squad are out of contract at the end of the season.

Their wait is almost over, with the club planning to hold individual meetings with every player next Thursday.

It could not be any earlier, as the U’s play Oxford City in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final at the Kassam Stadium on Wednesday night.

United chairman Ian Lenagan said: “Chris Wilder and I have talked many times over the last month about which players we definitely want to keep, who we need to replace and who we need to bring in.

“We have a very strong plan, I’m in complete agreement with Chris’s ideas.”
