OXFORD RL head coach Tony Benson returns to his former club when they visit Oldham in Kingstone Press Championship One on Sunday.

Benson and a number of his Oxford squad were at Oldham last season, but he stressed this will not affect their focus.

“We will be concentrating on our own game, and if we play to our game plan, we will come out on top,” said Benson.

“Oldham have a squad full of experienced rugby league players and this will be a difficult test for us especially at this stage of the season.

“We are improving game on game, and hopefully we will take this onto another level from the South Wales game.”

Half-back Brett Robinson, who has been out since the first game of the season, is winning his fight for fitness.

Apart from Robinson’s potential return, Benson will also check on Martin Roden who came off on a stretcher against South Wales with a head injury.

Kenny Calladine is back in training and is in consideration for the trip up north.

However Lucas Onyango (knee) and JJ Baird (back) are still out, although the latter has returned to training.
