OUR Lady’s Abingdon have reached the regional final of the Aberdare Cup – the national schools’ competition – for the first time.
They will face either Tudor Hall or Wycombe Abbey after hammering Bradfield College 10-2 in their semi-final.
Our Lady’s led 6-2 after the singles before winning all their doubles matches.
Should they win their next match, they will join 15 other schools at July’s national finals in Sheffield.
- BANBURY have made a strong start to Men’s Division 1 in the Oxfordshire Wilson Summer League.
Their A team defeated Norham Gardens 3-1, but their B side top the table after beating Witney 4-0.
Goring had an impressive 4-0 win over Oxford City to lead the way in Ladies’ Division 1.
- BRACKLEY secured the Thames Valley Winter League Ladies’ Division 1 title on 76 points, five ahead of North Oxford.
