COLESHILL United won the first silverware of the season as they beat Westminter 3-1 to lift the War Memorial Cup.

Richard Evans, Sam Rees and Shane Blake scored the Division 2 side’s goals, while Josh Bourton hit a late consolation for the Division 4 underdogs at Wantage Town.

There was also glory for Ardington & Lockinge Res, who won the league cup final 3-0 against Radley Res, of Division 5.

Goals from Tom Bennett and Jarrad Webster gave the Division 4 club a 2-0 lead at half-time, and a Luke Wilkins penalty sealed the win.

Abingdon Town’s ground is hosting two finals this Saturday.

Abingdon United Res play Childrey United Res for the Nairne Paul Trophy (2), while the Charity Shield final (7) is between Berinsfield and AFC Wallingford.
