A LATE penalty strike from Beth Cammegh saw Bicester Ladies 2nd beat Henley 3rd 1-0 in their penltimate Trysports 3-Counties League Division 2 fixture.

Only goal difference separated the sides in mid-table before the game, so it was not surprising there was little to choose between the sides.

The key move came in the final five minutes.

Sam Smith and Charlotte Chesworth-Wing combined to play in Amy Evans, whose shot was saved on the line by a Henley foot.

From the resulting penalty flick, player-of-the-match Cammegh placed the ball in the bottom left corner to seal the victory.

Bicester 3rd remain bottom of Divison 5 after crashing to a 6-0 home defeat against promotion-chasing Thame 2nd.

The visitors took charge early on and built a commanding 4-0 advantage by the break.

Bicester came back into the contest in the second half, without a breakthrough.

Thame weathered the pressure and hit back strongly, scoring twice more to complete a convincing victory.
