Headington Amateurs’ slim Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East title hopes were extinguished with a 3-0 defeat at home to Bracknell Town leaving Rayners Lane as champions without kicking a ball.

Shane Cooper-Clarke did the damage with a hat-trick.

Henley Town looked to be on course for their first win of the season as they raced into a 3-0 lead in the first 14 minutes, but visitors Thatcham Town Res hit back to win 4-3.

Omari Edwards-Holmes and a Liam Ratcliffe brace saw Henley take command, only for Thatcham to storm back with goals from Lemar Maycock, Luke Titcomb, Chance Jewell and Nikos Chrsyikopolous.

Easington Sports entertained a crowd of 150 attracted by their fun day held in conjunction with the match against Chalfont Wasps with a 3-0 victory.

Goals from Peter Moulder, Andrew Stidder and Niall Higgins sent the fans home happy.

Didcot Town Res crashed to a 5-1 defeat at Woodley Town.

Chris Williams netted for Didcot, but Woodley triumphed with goals from Matt Godwin, Jamie Fairchild, Nick Edwards, Will Gordon and Ben Clark.

Ryan Chapman’s penalty proved in vain for Chinnor as they went down 2-1 at Finchampstead.

Josh Sapsed and Harry Swabey netted for the hosts.

George Seacole scored twice as Carterton won 4-2 at home to Old Woodstock Town in Division 1 West.

Kris Redford and Lawrence Prior also netted, with Dan Green and Lewis Coyle replying.

Bottom club Letcombe were denied only their second victory of the season by a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Tytherington Rocks.

Letcombe twice led through George Thatcher and Mark Denny, but were pulled back on each occasion by goals from Toby Colbourne and Nick Peare.

Dan Watkin grabbed an 83rd-minute winner as Hook Norton triumphed 2-1 at home to Lambourn Sports.

Byron O’Regan had given Lambourn a 23rd-minute lead, but Chris Tillcock equalised three minutes later.

Marcus Hall’s 87th-minute strike condemned Clanfield to a 1-0 defeat at Purton.

Jacob Hughes scored twice as North Leigh Res won 3-1 at home to Lydney Town. Gareth Beale was also on target, with Jacob Morgan replying.
