Oxford's Jordan Flynn opened his challenge in the National Junior ABA Championships with an impressive points victory over Redbridge’s Syed Alley at the University of East London.
The 17-year-old, who fights for the Repton club in London, forced his opponent to take a standing count in the second round of the preliminary round clash in the 63kg class.
He kept up the pressure in the last round to secure a unanimous points decision, and will now box in the London finals next week.
