City of Oxford won 11 medals after a nine-strong squad starred in the Scottish Gas National Age Group Championships at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.

A month after becoming the top club in Oxfordshire and North Bucks, City produced a dominant display.

Emily Wood and Maia Little led the way, winning won gold in their respective 200m breaststroke age categories.

Wood also claimed silver in the 100m breaststroke, with Little claiming bronze in the same event in her age group Lucy Smith won silver in the 400m freestyle, as did Robert Youngs Do Patriciano in the 100m breaststroke.

Further bronze medals were won by Emily Nisbet (800m and 200m IM), Do Patriciano (200m breaststroke), Lucy Smith (200m butterfly) and Lizzie Oliver (400m freestyle).

Jack Gosden-Kaye and Rachel Allen both made finals and Annie Sharp, in her first experience of a national competition, finished a creditable tenth in the 100m backstroke.

Despite sending a small team, City finished 15th out of 85 clubs.

lKidlington and Gosford came first in their Chiltern League Gala at Banbury, winning 11 races and setting 22 personal bests.

Edward Crisp, Chloe Ridewood, Stephi Bourliakas, Hannah Jennings, Hayley Clements, Jaimie Morris and Lucy Parsons and four relay teams were victorious.
