NORTH Leigh put a dent in Yate Town’s play-off hopes in Division 1 South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League with a 2-0 win last night.
The visitors were well worth the victory after two second- half goals in three minutes from James Organ and Jon Else.
Didcot Town went down 1-0 at home to promotion-chasing Merthyr Town.
The only goal came midway through the second half when Matthew Harris followed up to slam home a rebound after Didcot keeper Craig Griffiths had pulled off a brilliant stop to deny Aaron Cornwall.
Griffiths saved a second-half penalty from Ryan Prosser.
Abingdon United lost 1-0 at Cinderford, who netted the winner via Lee Smith two minutes before half-time.
Jack Ross and Toby Nowell went close for United, but they could not find the breakthrough.
