Banbury United defender Wayne Blossom was sent off in injury time as Chesham extended their 12-match unbeaten Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division run with a 2-1 away winBlossom was shown the red card for an over-the-top tackle on Dave Fotheringham.

Adeyinka Talabi headed home off a post to give Banbury the lead after six minutes.

But it lasted just two minutes as unmarked Steve Wales fired home.

Home keeper Warren Carter saved well from Toby Little and Inih Effiong But he could not prevent Effiong putting Chesham ahead just before half-time with a shot from just insdie the penalty area.

Banbury’s best effort of the second half came from Ben Polk, who shot just wide.
