Oxford City made it 11 goals conceded in two Division 1 South & West games under their new management team when leaders Bashley hit them for six on Saturday.

Player-manager Justin Merritt and his assistant Mike Ford could do nothing to halt the rampant home side.

City went behind as early as the second minute when a cross from the left saw Ryan Moss score with a header.

After Richard Gillespie had driven past the far post, Bashley doubled their score when Dave Wakefield's centre was headed down and in by Moss for his second.

Then poor defending from City led to Matt Parnell netting Bashley's third.

City's best effort came when Mark Jones set up Ray Spence, but his powerful shot was deflected for a corner.

After 53 minutes, Bashley went 4-0 up when Gillespie got the better of Mark Avery to fire in.

Loan debutant Billy Beechers, from Oxford United, forced the keeper to turn a good effort round for a corner.

Further goals in the 74th and 78th minutes from Gillespie and Jeremy Tarr completed a miserable afternoon for the visitors.
