CRANFORD School are celebrating the opening of a new all-weather sports pitch in their Moulsford grounds.
To mark the occasion, the school’s first XI hockey squad played a match against members of staff.
Director of sport, Amanda Watkins-Cooke (pictured on right) said: “Our first XI hockey team are unbeaten this year and I am confident this new facility will improve our sports provision even further.”
Headteacher Claire Hamilton added: “These new facilities will doubtless inspire our pupils to even greater achievements.
“We have embarked on an ambitious phase in our school’s history where, over the next four years, Cranford House pupils will reap the benefits of large-scale investments in sporting and performance facilities.”
The school said they will look to support the local community in their use of the new facility.
