THE Oxfordshire branch of the Perchfishers held a fish-in on the Alliance stretch of Thames before the floods.
The fish were hard to come by and crayfish proved a problem.
Colin Lurcock had only three bites all day, missing the first two before hitting the third one and landing a nice perch of exactly 3lb.
Former Oxford Mail columnist Andy Webber tried several swims, but was plagued by crayfish.
Roy Goddard, from Litchfield, opted for lures with a drop-shot rig and had one hit from a fish which bit off the tail of his lure.
