Goalkeeper Alan Judge produced a superb display as a depleted Banbury reached the first round of the FA Trophy with a 2-0 win at Marlow.
He was called upon on several occasions as Kevin Brock's men produced a workmanlike display.
Banbury went in front on 14 minutes when Matty Hayward was fouled in the box and Jon Gardner struck home a fierce spot-kick past Marlow's giant keeper Michael Watkins.
Banbury had Judge to thank on three separate occasions in the first half as he made a lightning quick reaction save from a low shot from Adam Dickens, followed by two more saves to deny both Jeff Lamb and Adam Harman.
Three minutes after the break, Bridges saw his well-flighted free-kick tipped over the bar, but it was the home side in the ascendancy.
Judge again came to the rescue, saving well from Dickens, but in the 71st minute, the game was made safe.
Banbury earned another free-kick on the right which Ady Fuller played into the middle. Baird headed on to Forinton, who laid the ball back to Bridges. He side-stepped a defender and sent a beautiful shot into the top corner.
Two minutes later, United were unlucky not to increase their lead.
Baird ran through, held off a challenge from two defenders, but was unlucky to see his shot skid off Watkins and hit the bar, before the keeper dropped on the ball on the goalline.
