WITNEY A took advantage of leaders Riley A not being in action as they whitewashed Thame A 6-0 to close the gap at the top of the Premier Division table.
Grant Conquest made a clearance of 49 in the second of his frames against Paul Evans, while earlier in the match, youngster Lewis Culcutt beat Mark Syrett to put Witney in command.
Justin Buckingham completed the maximum with a comprehensive victory against Martin Cone.
Fieldside A also kept up the pressure as they romped to a 6-0 victory against Riley B.
Bob Chivers beat Gary Bough 59-38, 55-21 to get Fieldside off the mark, then Paul Robinson hit a break of 54 during the first frame of his 86-16, 61-18 win against Dean Campbell.
Karl Walker polished things off 42-25, 49-28 against Malcolm Bough.
In Division 1, New Club increased their lead at the top with a 5-1 win at home to Ashton A.
Ian Gee gave New Club the perfect start with a 50-42, 57-26 win against Pete Fenn.
Justin Shepherd made it 3-0 with a 52-43 win against Alan Harvey, but Harvey hit back to snatch the fourth frame 51-7.
New Club captain Alan Mander got the better of Alan King 51-37, 56-26 in the remaining frames.
Second-placed Woodstock A went 3-1 in front against Witney C, before being pegged back for a 3-3 draw.
Stuart Reeve and Colin Cutler won a frame each, but Justin Page eased past Colin Adams 62-39, 61-26 to put Woodstock in charge.
However, Witney's Paul Chester then saw off Priyan Shah 73-29, 59-10 to give his side a share of the spoils.
Witney B slumped 4-2 at home to Cherwell B.
Ray Benwell beat Terry Cook 46-38, 46-26 to put Cherwell ahead, then Andy Benwell took the next frame 63-32 to make it 3-0.
Stephen Hedges reduced the deficit by winning the next 39-27, and then Simon Barker narrow the gap further with a 64-39 victiry against Steve Benwell.
However, Benwell responded to secure the match, winning the final frame 59-39.
Oracle A trounced local rivals Abingdon Con B 6-0 in Division 2.
Matty Bramall beat Peter Baskerville 61-33, 51-35 to get Oracle off to the perfect start.
Richard Saunders then eased past Gerry Clapton 55-26, 58-29, before Dave Noake wrapped up victory with a 72-23, 78-9 success against Stuart Fenwick, capping a fine display with a break of 68 in the final frame.
In Division 3, Thame B got the better of Morris Motors A 4-2 to move into third place.
Eynsham B consolidated their lead at the top of Division 4 with a 4-2 win against Cowley Worker A.
Tim Bowles set the ball rolling with victory over Darren Murray, then Adam Hingley got the better of Mal McAllister to put Eynsham into an unassailable 4-0 lead.
Lee McAllister then beat Allan Blackwell in the final two frames to reduce the arrears.
In Division 5, leaders Witney E were held to a 3-3 draw by bottom side Eynsham C.
Bob Cyphus put Witney in front with victory over Mick Lyne, but Simon Harbour drew Eynsham level with a win against Paul Keenlyside.
Andy Keeler won frame five to put Witney back in front, but Jason Stubbs grabbed the last frame to secure a draw.
Division 6 leaders Westcott A recovered from two frame down to beat County C 4-2, with four frames decided on the black.
County took charge when Andy Cooper beat Brian Hawes, but Andy Huxley won the next two to claw Westcott level.
Dave Moon then completed the turnaround with victory against Victor Norman.
