MATCH-winner Nick Scott was delighted to come up trumps with an interception try against his former club.
The 22-year-old wing joined London Welsh on a permanent basis last summer after three years at Bath.
Scott said: “It felt great for me to get a try against my old club, but more importantly it was all about the win today for us.
“I have played with Stephen Donald a bit and know he takes to the line a lot.
“I just hedged my bets and went for it. Thank God it came into my hands.”
He added: “It was nice to get out there against a few old friends, but you have to take the emotion out of it.
“We that needed that win.”
Welsh head coach Lyn Jones said: “We had a tough call against Saracens and lost a bonus point against Wasps. “We have had a bit of hard lines against a few teams and today it was a bit of luck for us.
“I was delighted with the effort the players put in. We are shaping up in defence a lot better.”
Bath head coach Gary Gold could not hide his frustration at their suicidal finish to the game.
He said: “I can only put it down to a rush of blood for Stephen to have thrown such a ridiculous pass.
“We just had to hold on to the ball the way we had been for the other 79 minutes. I am just astonished.”
