RYAN Brooks fired a four-timer in Witney Town’s thrilling 6-5 extra-time win at Headington Amateurs in the Bluefin Sports Cup second round on Saturday.
Yashwa Romeo and James Dobson also netted for Witney, who had led 4-2 only for Headington to score twice in the last five minutes of normal time.
Tom Payne (2), Shaun Jacobs, Paul Hedger and Luke Cuff were the Headington hot-shots.
Steve Howkins hit a hat-trick in Ardley United’s 4-2 home win over Lydney Town.
Nathan Gardiner was also on target, with Adam Price and Dan Clarke the Lydney scorers.
Sam Fincher was Kidlington’s hero with an extra-time winner in their 3-2 home victory over Highmoor Ibis.
Goals by Jack Dunmall and Jack Johnson in normal time for Kidlington had been cancelled out by Antony Alleyne and Steve Peacock. Tom Larman’s double gave Abingdon Town a 2-1 home win over Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Elliott Rushforth hit back for Wokingham. Milton United crashed out 7-1 at Brimscombe & Thrupp.
Michael Beckingham led the way with four first-half goals.
Lee Pritchard scored twice and Craig Cole also netted, with Joe Parker providing Milton’s lone strike. Old Woodstock Town bowed out 4-2 at home to Cheltenham Saracens.
Ethan Moore (2), Elliott Kennedy and Carl Griffiths struck for Cheltenham with Gavin Kidd and Jack Quainton replying.
Clanfield also went out with a 3-1 defeat at Rayners Lane. Ryan Upton scored twice and Lee Gardner also netted for Rayners Lane, with Dan Bishop the Clanfield marksman. Thame United were another casualty with a 3-1 home defeat by Newbury.
Aaron Bonham’s strike for Thame was in vain as Callum Willmoth’s brace and a Dan Lachacz goal ended their hopes.
Shrivenham lost 2-1 at Highworth Town.
TJ Bohane and Aaron Maximen netted for Highworth with Paul Sanders replying. John McMahon scored twice in the last three minutes to give Wantage Town a 3-1 win at Reading Town on Friday night.
Andrew Younie’s opener for Wantage had been cancelled out by Graham Lewis.
