JOSHUA Kearns scored an impressive 44 points to be named Champion of Champions for 2012.
The Tadmarton Heath golfer, 12, won the boys 13 and under section in the final at Studley Wood and his round was good enough to claim the overall prize at the BB&O Golf Partnership’s flagship event.
Bryony Saint tasted success on her home course, claiming the girls 14 and over prize with 39 points.
Fellow Studley Wood member Alex Rae’s 42 points was good enough to win the boys 14 and over title.
Chipping Norton’s Emily Melling also came out on top, winning the girls 13 and under competition.
Her tally of 34 points was one better than runner-up Sally Ayres (Frilford Heath), who also finished second in last year’s tournament.
The event, now in its third year, is the product of the junior academy coaching programme and had players from 33 different clubs in the 60-strong field.
