Oxford Harlequins' South West 1 promotion bid has been boosted by the loan signing of Henley Hawks forward Carl Cimpoias.
The 21-year-old Romanian sevens international starts at lock for Quins' visit to second-bottom Reading Abbey tomorrow.
Cimpoias said: "The are no more Henley Alliance games before Christmas and because they are winning most of their matches the squad is not changing much.
"I am one of five or six players, who have gone on loan and it will just be good to get game time.
"The loan is indefinite in case Henley get injuries or something else happens."
Cimpoias finishes his degree at Oxford Brookes, where he has captained the side, next month.
He is now targeting a full cap for Romania and hopes to play professionally abroard.
"I was in the 50-man first team squad for last season, but I was able to get over due to university commitments," added Cimpoias.
Quins' director of rugby Matt Maudsley said: "I've been speaking to him for a long time now.
"I had to convince him that South West 1 was a good level to play at."
Prop Paul DeLange is ruled out with an Achilles injury, so James Eckert shifts from lock to tight-head, while Tom Chapman replaces Simon Chadbone at loose-head.
Andy Noyce moves to full back in a swap that sees Pete Davis start on the wing. Jez Tanner provides backs' cover on the bench.
Captain Matt Hutchings returns at lock as Chinnor travel to Lydney in National 3 South.
Andy Millburn drops to the bench, while prop Joe Winpenny keeps his place after impressing last week.
Head coach John Brodley: "Lydney away is a big tough test as their home form has been excellent.
"But we keep saying we are improving week by week and having stability in the side is certainly helping us.
"We are more than hopeful of getting something out of this game."
Henley Hawks travel to lowly Bradford & Bingley in National 2.
Witney aim to get their Southern Counties North title push back on track when they host Oxon rivals Grove.
They name an unchanged starting line-up from the side that defeated Cooper Avon Tyres 36-0 last week.
But Alan Richens and Ben Rollinson make the bench alongside Jimi Collis.
Bicester make the short trip to Gosford All Blacks in the BB&O Premier Division.
They welcome back fly half Ross Kenny and winger Chad Ward, but flanker Christian Wright and Adam Spencer (broken collar bone) are out.
