Oxford City boss Mike Ford could start with striker Nabil Sharif when they travel to Bishop’s Stortford in Blue Square Bet North tonight.
The 20-year-old forward was dropped for Saturday’s goalless draw against Stalybridge Celtic, but made an impression as a second-half substitute.
“I left him out because I thought he wasn’t earning his place,” said Ford. “But when he came on I thought he brought some zest and energy to the side. That was just the response I wanted.”
Meanwhile, City, who are without the unavailable Felipe Barcelos, have been drawn away to Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West side Sholing in the FA Carlsberg Trophy third qualifying round on November 11.
Defender Lance Williams could return for Didcot Town’s second qualifying round home replay with Poole Town tonight.
He missed Saturday’s 1-1 draw in Dorset with a shin injury, but is back in a squad missing keeper Marcos Belloli-Pereira (ankle).
The winners will host Blue Square Bet South side Dorchester Town.
