The Star Inn, Sparsholt
AN HISTORIC inn near Wantage has been named Oxfordshire's best for grub by the Good Pub Guide.
The Star Inn, Sparsholt, has been crowned Oxfordshire's "county dining pub of the year" for 2017.
The pub, which boasts that it has been "at the heart of village life for more than 300" years, serves dishes such as "chilled Isle of Wight heirloom gazpacho", "dill-cured salmon gravlax with fromage blanc" and "warm Thai infused quinoa with spring onion and watermelon".
