POLICE are appealing for information after a spate of criminal damage to cars.

The damage was caused to cars parked in King's Road in Banbury in the early hours of Sunday.

Wing mirrors were damaged on four vehicles and one car had its nearside passenger window shattered. The wing mirrors, as well as one of the vehicles, have been taken away for forensic analysis.

PC Kevin Yeoman, of the Neighbourhood Policing Team for Ruscote, Hardwick and Neithrop, who is investigating the incident, said he was well aware of local people's concern about criminal damage.

PC Yeoman said: "Local people are rightly concerned about incidents of criminal damage in the area and we are working hard to deal with that. I would appeal to anyone with information to contact me."
