A MAN has been arrested after a mini-bus overturned on the M40, injuring 16 people.
Police confirmed a 33-year-old man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of dangerous driving and of driving not in accordance with his licence.
The mini-bus overturned shortly after 3pm on Saturday on the southbound section of motorway between junction 12 at Gaydon and 11 at Banbury.
The driver and 15 passengers were taken to six hospitals, including Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital and the Horton General in Banbury.
None of the injuries were thought to be life threatening.
The man has been bailed until June 30 at Banbury Police Station.
